In anticipation of the field placement requirement for each program, the School of Legal and Public Administration hosts a preparation day for students to provide them with a preview of what their field placements will entail. The Paralegal and Court & Tribunal students usually have theirs in the winter semester while the Law Clerk students have theirs in the summer and fall semesters. Students are given an outline of what to expect while in the placement as well as what is expected of them. These days have been particularly valuable to the students as there is an opportunity to voice their own concerns and have their questions answered. As with the Career Prep Days, LSSA has been entrusted with the responsibility of organizing volunteers for the event as well as any administrative functions needed to make each day a success.
